Robert Williams

Born in the Chicago area, I moved to the Metroplex at the age of 13 and have made this area my home since then. Always having a passion and appreciation for music I was involved in the school band program from the 5th to the 12th grade and being involved and excelling in the jazz, symphonic and marching bands in high school.

At age 20 I was given an opportunity to begin to learn the art of Dj'ing in the nightclub arena. Though this only lasted about 1 1/2 years I was able to learn exactly what music ( all styles ) worked to create an atmosphere to make people want to dance. Within months of leaving the nightclub scene I was contacted by both a company I had once worked for and a friend getting married to see if I would be interested in playing music at their events. Both events being successful I knew I needed to take this further ( thinking "wow", I could probably earn enough money to buy a nice stereo for myself ), though not realizing the full potential.

One wedding began to build upon another, but soon I began to realize something. I realized that though playing great music was of utmost importance there were many other things involved in creating a successful event ( especially when it comes to weddings ).

Through experience ( and there's no substitute for experience ) I learned all the little nuances. Then came the decision to make dj'ing weddings ( and some corporate events ) my full time job. I have done this without any advertising; no website ( til now ), no phone listing, and not participating in the big wedding shows.

Now that people do business almost exclusively on the internet this is the direction I must go, but I am not the other djs you see plastered all over the world wide web!!!
